I just wanted to send a small update so you know exactly what’s happening behind the scenes as we head into Christmas.

WA & NT Shutdown

WA & NT orders will close from the 9th of December to make sure everything arrives on time for Christmas.

National Shutdown

Everyone else will be able to order until 12th of December. Any orders placed after these dates will still come through — they just won’t be packed or dispatched until we’re officially back from January 4th, 2026.

Company-Wide Christmas Break

To give our whole team a chance to rest, read and soak up time with family, we’ll be taking a little breather:Closed from 22nd December → Reopening 4th January

Customer Support

Emails and customer service will stay open throughout the whole period. If you need anything, we’ll still be here — just not physically at the warehouse.

This community… you honestly blow me away.The kindness in your messages, the excitement in your unboxings, the way you recommend us to your friends, and the genuine love you have for books and for each other — it’s the reason Book Box feels like more than just another company and more like a community I’m so proud to be a part of.

It’s been an amazing year, and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you who chooses to support us, support small Aussie businesses, and allow us to be part of your reading life.It means more than I can put into words.And as we head into the busiest (and most magical!) time of year, I want to say a special thank you for your patience.With two Christmas Book Boxes going out this year on top of our regular orders, things are definitely a little hectic behind the scenes — in the best possible way.

We’ve been absolutely blown away by the support, and while this may cause some delays here and there, please know that we’re doing everything we can to get every box out with the same care and love you expect from us.

We’ll have more updates coming your way before the year wraps up, but for now, I hope your December is filled with small moments of calm, cosy reading nights, Christmas cheer and some well-earned relaxation.
