The Victorian town of Carrabeen is divided by a vast new wind farm when one turbine stops with local philanthropist and wind-farm owner Geordie Pritchard hanging dead from its blade. Detective Sergeants Belinda Burney and Will Lovell initially face what appears to be suicide, but Geordie’s widow produces death threats and insists he was murdered. Their investigation exposes a community split between promised jobs and prosperity and anger over lost farming land. With Geordie regarded as both saint and sinner, Burney and Lovell must determine which grievance became deadly and uncover who in the close-knit rural town wanted him gone.
