Eye Spy - C.M. Ewan
This is a tense, fast-paced thriller set almost entirely over a three-hour Eurostar journey. Mark is waiting in Paris with his four-year-old daughter when she points out a “Bad Man” during a game of Eye Spy. At first it seems like a child’s imagination — until Mark notices the same man boarding their train with a suspicious suitcase and sitting far too close. As the journey unfolds, Mark becomes increasingly convinced his family is in danger. But the threat on the train is tangled with secrets from his own past, forcing him to piece together the truth before it’s too late. It sounds like a high-stakes, claustrophobic suspense novel with family danger, a ticking-clock structure, secrets, paranoia, and possible terrorist/threat-on-a-train elements.
