Journalist Nick Caldwell is travelling home to London for his baby daughter’s first Christmas when a snowstorm forces him to seek shelter at Mistletoe Manor. The isolated hotel is already occupied by an eccentric collection of guests and staff, but worsening weather soon blocks the road and cuts off their communications. When one guest is discovered murdered the next morning, the stranded group realises the killer must be among them. With no police assistance available, Nick begins questioning his fellow guests and examining their secrets, rivalries and possible motives. Although his inexperience leads him toward false conclusions, he continues investigating as mistrust spreads through the manor and the danger of another killing grows.
