This is an isolated survival thriller set on a remote whitewater rafting trip. Kaia joins a five-day rafting adventure with twenty strangers, but the trip quickly feels wrong. Seven years earlier, a guide murdered a group of rafters on the same stretch of river, and although the killer’s body was supposedly found, true-crime obsessives have never been convinced the story ended there. When strange incidents begin — a flipped raft, missing supplies, screams in the night — the group realises history may be repeating itself. With no civilisation for eighty-four miles, Kaia starts to suspect that one of the guides is hiding something, one of the guests knows more than they admit, and someone on the river may be preparing to kill again. It sounds like a tense, claustrophobic thriller with survival horror elements, true-crime mystery, hidden motives, and a “trapped with a killer” setup.
