The Storm follows Geneva Corliss, owner of the struggling Rosalie Inn in St. Medard’s Bay, Alabama. When true-crime writer August Fletcher arrives to investigate the infamous 1984 murder of political heir Landon Fitzroy, Geneva sees an opportunity to bring attention—and money—to her hotel. But August has brought an unexpected guest: Lo Bailey, the woman accused of Landon’s murder, who has returned decades later determined to clear her name. As a powerful hurricane approaches, Geneva becomes increasingly suspicious of Lo, August and the secrets surrounding the old case. With multiple versions of the past coming to light, Geneva discovers that the people around her may be every bit as dangerous as the storm itself.
