Oakley Novak discovers that Xander Rhodes, a member of a secret society of vigilante killers, has been surveilling her. Rather than becoming his victim, she turns the tables and asks for his help avenging her parents' murder. Their alliance puts them at odds with both law enforcement and Xander's own organisation, but it also reveals how well their obsessions and appetites match. As the hunt for Oakley's enemy intensifies, the journalist and the killer must decide how far they will go for justice, revenge and each other.
